@nxnn All of this is assuming any of it comes up for a clean vote, instead of being loaded with barbs and idiocy. I don't trust the far right to vote the party line without getting their pet ideas in there.
@nxnn I hope Barry can get a few more Veto stamps. He's going to need them for the garbage that the Republicans are going to start ramming through Congress. Changing the filibuster rules isn't looking so smart now, is it, Senate Democrats?
@Thoughtologist Did you actually go to the link? Looser gun laws directly correlate to a higher rate of gun deaths for our children. Maybe through violence or negligence or accidents, but the fact is that the more accessible the guns the greater the risk to our kids.
@jonasthecrellin Nothing worse than what would happen if we didn't torture him, and some information that he COULD have provided (but still didn't) would have prevented a suicide bombing somewhere. Not to mention at least this way he ends up dead, which is a positive.
@Tom if only there were some way for us to see that article. Like a link... But honestly it's no surprise. Higher minimum wage changes the economics of doing business. Many low income jobs will be eliminated. Many other goods and services will go up in price.
@nxnn I will say that Rand has been less of a Media Circus than I anticipated, though who knows if that's attributable to the Trump show. @Moderator, I think we need a Trump topic... I'd love to see what @LibertyLion and @Thoughtologist have to say about him.
@nxnn is it just me, or are you also tired of hearing that "not voting is a vote for Hillary"? I want to patiently explain that it's at most half of a vote for Hillary, but I'm continually resisting the temptation.
@Tom@nxnn I'd say the worst is the one that will ruin our influence abroad by turning our most public office into a mouthpiece for fear and racism. World leaders will hold their noses and wait for it to be over, while China and Russia continue to expand influence.
@jonasthecrellin@AngryGuy she's definitely corrupt, no way you hang around the institution this long with owing a lottt of favors. But she's also realistic and capable, while I think the other two candidates are dreamers and incapable of nuanced leadership.
@nxnn@Tom I wouldn't say favorite, but she's better than anything the GOP has to offer. Hence @Tom's statement. I think she'll have the strength to make smart changes to Obamacare, at least, instead of trying to pull the whole thing back like any GOP candidate will claim to do.
