@BigFish Ya, that is sort of what I was getting at. I still think in the end I expect them to get some things done like I what I mentioned. They should have plenty of room in the house for some wackos to vote them down and even a couple in the senate assuming no D votes
@nxnn All of this is assuming any of it comes up for a clean vote, instead of being loaded with barbs and idiocy. I don't trust the far right to vote the party line without getting their pet ideas in there.
@BigFish now dont get wrong the Jim Jordans of the world will try to do what you suggest and have some success, but I think they will ultimately be squashed, though I wouldn't underestimate Barry's ability to sabotage himself by vetoing things he should sign
@BigFish I disagree on that one to be honest. I think the leadership will realize the valuable opportunity they have to show they can govern before 2016 and that will greatly help presidential election. For instance, I see keystone pipeline, tax reform, immigration reform etc
@nxnn I hope Barry can get a few more Veto stamps. He's going to need them for the garbage that the Republicans are going to start ramming through Congress. Changing the filibuster rules isn't looking so smart now, is it, Senate Democrats?
@hereandnow@nxnn I agree with that statement. However I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. I'd rather be viewed as the country that believes in diplomacy than the country that is ready to go to war at the drop of a hat (ie the GWB era).
@nxnn Agreed, one thing I find deeply stupid about this administration is that they don't seem to realize that literally everything they do is going to come under super intense public scrutiny. The era of the internet, I guess.
@Einar5107 The system we had was broken with medical inflation running drastically high, and we have to start somewhere. It isn't perfect, but he got it done where countless others have failed.
I considered myself a democrat for a long time... until Barack Obama became our president. I was a democrat... never a socialist. For me the democratic party had once believed in fighting for people's rights.. now I feel they are more concerned with taking them away.
