@hereandnow Definitely a possible approach. Unfortunately I don't think that most people would be very free with their donations. If you required it of them but let it be self directed, it would become a logistical nightmare.
@BigFish I will gladly support those lives. I just don't want the gov't to decide so freely where my money goes to "support". I'd rather keep more of my own money to have the freedom to choose who I support. Don't get me wrong, gov't still needs some money for those services.
@jukeboxradio nothing has to be absolute.I never claimed to be against anything.Just was refuting many of the false claims you were making. The point it I think everyone can agree that abortion isn't a good thing.People shouldn't have to do that and that should be the beginning
@nxnn well by your various comments you believe it is wrong for a woman to abort a pregnancy, surely you understand you can't have it both ways on this sensitive issue, or are you say there should be exceptions to a rule?
@nxnn@hereandnow you both think its okay to force a woman who has been raped & become pregnant from the the rape to have the child, & either bring it up herself or put it up for adoption. That's like raping the women all over again for at least 10 months, if not a lifetime
@jukeboxradio Here in the US, we have the right to bear arms in order to defend ourselves from the government if need be. I don't think stopping abortions has anything to do with defending ourselves from the government...
doesn't show how many are harmed but not killed by guns, anyway to your way of thinking 1 death from either abortion or by gun is unacceptable so to your way of thinking I don't see how you can argue against an outright ban on Guns to coincide with an outright ban on abortion
@nxnn I'm surprised you are confused, the principle is the same as for outlawing terminations. I wonder what the stats say out deaths from guns compared by the figures for abortions, might make interesting reading.
Should women be able to choose to have an abortion?

The 'pro-choice' euphemism is as ironic as it is deceptive. My experience is that those who are most noisily 'in favor of choice in this arena are typically among those who want to deny MY right to choose in just about every other aspect of life.
